Contact

Use the form below to reach Edinburgh Tourism Guide. It goes straight to the person who edits the site, and it is the only contact route we operate — we do not run a phone line, a live chat or a social media inbox.

What we can help with

Corrections. The most valuable message you can send. If a Castle admission price, a tram fare, an opening time or a festival date on this site has moved, tell us which guide it was on and what the current figure is. These get fixed quickly and the guide’s review date is updated.

Gaps. If you came looking for something about visiting Edinburgh and could not find it here, that is useful to know. Requests shape what gets written next.

Copyright and permissions. Queries about reusing text, and any claim that an image on the site infringes your rights. Identify the material and the page it appears on and we will investigate.

Privacy requests. Access, correction or deletion requests under UK or EU data protection law. See the privacy policy for what we actually hold, which is very little.

What we cannot help with

This is a publication, not a travel agency. We cannot book anything, change or cancel a booking, chase a refund, or intervene with an attraction, hotel or tour operator on your behalf — we have no relationship with them and no standing to. If something has gone wrong with a reservation, the operator you booked through is the one who can fix it.

We also do not answer individual trip-planning questions by email. It is not a lack of goodwill; there are 135 guides here precisely so that the answers are written down, in more detail than a reply could carry. If your question is not covered by one of them, say so and it may become the next guide.

Finally, and to save everyone’s time: we do not accept guest posts, sponsored articles, link insertions or paid placements, and we do not respond to outreach offering them.

Response times

The site is run by one person, so replies take a few days rather than a few hours. Corrections are acted on before they are acknowledged, so if you sent one and did not hear back, check the page — it may already be fixed. Data protection requests are answered within one month, as the law requires.

Send a message

The name, email address and message you enter are used to reply to you and for nothing else. They are not added to a mailing list and not shared. See the privacy policy for the detail.
